President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has confirmed that she received a personal invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to participate in the newly established Peace Board, an international organization in which Kosovo has been selected as one of the founding members.

Speaking to the media, Osmani emphasized that Kosovo’s participation does not involve mandatory financial contributions, clarifying that any support would be voluntary. She described the invitation as a historically significant development for Kosovo.

“This is a development of historical importance for Kosovo. First, because it represents membership in an international organization as one of its founding members. Second, because this organization is established by the United States. And third, because Kosovo was chosen among several countries based on its experience in state-building, peace promotion, and alliances, expertise that can contribute to peacebuilding in other parts of the world,” Osmani said.

President Osmani further highlighted the potential of this initiative to become one of the most successful international organizations in modern history, linking it to the leadership and vision of President Trump.

“I have full confidence that this organization will be one of the most successful in modern world history, primarily due to the bold leadership and vision of President Trump and the U.S., and secondly because it is grounded in the most fundamental values of humanity, namely the importance of peace as the foundation for all other achievements. Without peace, everything else is impossible for states, nations, and peoples. Therefore, I have accepted this personal invitation with great pride,” she stated.

Osmani underlined that Kosovo’s inclusion in the Peace Board acknowledges its experience in state-building and peace efforts while providing an opportunity to contribute to global stability and peace.

“The documentation we received does not mention any mandatory payments. Countries may choose to contribute voluntarily. Kosovo’s involvement will be significant due to our experience in peacebuilding,” she concluded.
