A delegation from Belgrade, led by Serbian Chief Negotiator Petar Petković, arrived in Brussels tonight, where it is set to participate in a new round of dialogue with the Kosovar side on Thursday, under the mediation of the European Union, Serbian media report.
According to these reports, “the Belgrade delegation will insist particularly on the urgent formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities, but will also emphasize the difficult position of the Serbian population in Kosovo, due to numerous unilateral and escalating moves from Pristina that threaten the survival, peace, and security of Serbs,” continues the pro-government Serbian media.
EU envoy Peter Sorensen, from Denmark, visited Kosovo and Serbia last week but did not announce any new round of talks. So far, Kosovo has not issued any notice regarding talks tomorrow in the European capital.
