The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that the recount of ballots is now fully completed in 11 municipalities.
According to the CEC, the recount process began on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 18:00. As of Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 16:00, approximately 45% of the total 2,557 polling stations have been recounted, amounting to 1,142 polling stations.
The recount is being carried out at the Counting and Results Center, according to the list of polling stations for which the CEC had decided a recount was necessary.
The commission has emphasized that the process is being conducted methodically and transparently to ensure the accuracy and credibility of election results.
