The Regional Waste Management Company KRM “Pastrimi” JSC has officially announced the implementation of a new pricing scheme for waste collection and transportation services in Prishtina. The company informed residents that the revised tariff structure is now in force and applies to all categories of consumers.

According to KRM “Pastrimi”, the new tariff is introduced in line with the Regulation on Waste Management, which was formally approved by the Municipal Assembly of Prishtina in December 2023 and subsequently published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo.

The company explained that this regulatory framework establishes standardized fees for municipal waste collection and transport, developed in accordance with legal provisions and institutional procedures of the municipality. The pricing model reflects a clear categorization of consumers, including resident and non-resident households, as well as businesses differentiated by size and contractual arrangements, ensuring equal, transparent, and efficient service delivery.

KRM “Pastrimi” outlined the main objectives of implementing the new tariff, which include:

  • Ensuring a financially sustainable system for uninterrupted waste management services
  • Increasing transparency and clarity in billing
  • Supporting the provision of regular and high-quality services for all consumers
  • Meeting environmental protection and public health standards across the Municipality of Prishtina

The company also expressed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation with citizens and economic operators, emphasizing its readiness to provide additional clarification, public information, and institutional dialogue regarding the implementation of the tariff.

“Our primary goal remains ensuring a cleaner city, a more efficient service, and a fair pricing process for everyone,” the company stated, thanking residents for their understanding and cooperation.
