Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that public opinion polls show there is no doubt who would win the upcoming elections, emphasizing that his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) remains the clear frontrunner.

Speaking on TV Pink, Vučić acknowledged that elections in six to eight months could be challenging for some, as he noted that some people seek change as they do in other aspects of life.

He also accused critics of spreading falsehoods, saying: “They lied about broken jaws, kidneys, the boy from Valjevo, they lied about everything, and lies eventually catch up with you.”

On the issue of ministers Tomislav Momirović and Goran Vesić, Vučić criticized the practice of holding individuals in pre-trial detention when there is no risk of flight, stating that detention should not replace non-existent prison sentences.

He further accused certain judges and prosecutors of being openly biased in favor of the so-called “blockaders.” Regarding student protests, Vučić said he initially took their demands seriously but later concluded they were part of a “colored revolution” in decline since March 15, 2025.
