The Assembly of Kosovo has officially approved the Kurti 3 Government with 66 votes in favor, 49 against, and no abstentions, confirming the formation of the country’s new executive leadership.

The government, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, secured the necessary parliamentary majority during a plenary session held late Wednesday. The vote followed the constitution of the new legislature and the formal mandate granted to Kurti by President Vjosa Osmani to form the government.

Cabinet and Governing Priorities

During the session, Kurti presented his governing program and cabinet members, highlighting priorities such as economic growth, strengthening the rule of law, social welfare improvements, and advancing Kosovo’s international partnerships.

The newly confirmed cabinet includes both returning ministers and new political figures, forming what is widely known as the Kurti 3 Government.

Political Opposition and Minority Concerns

Despite the approval, opposition parties and representatives of the Serbian List voted against the government, expressing concerns regarding government policies and minority representation within state institutions.

Beginning of Kurti’s Third Mandate

The parliamentary approval marks the official start of Kurti’s third governing mandate, following the December 28, 2025 parliamentary elections and the establishment of the new Assembly.

The new administration is expected to address several key challenges, including economic reforms, interethnic relations, dialogue with Serbia, and ongoing international judicial and diplomatic developments.
