British Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargreaves met on Tuesday with Kosovo’s Acting Minister of Defence, Ejup Maqedonci, to discuss the latest security developments and ways to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
According to Maqedonci, the meeting focused on the current security situation in the region and beyond, the importance of close coordination with strategic partners, and advancing cooperation between Kosovo and the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest.
“We discussed the current security situation in the region and beyond, the importance of close coordination with our strategic partners, and the advancement of cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom in areas of shared interest,” Maqedonci said.
The acting defence minister expressed gratitude for the United Kingdom’s continued support for Kosovo and its defence sector, highlighting the strong partnership the two countries have built over the years.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening defence cooperation and maintaining close coordination to address shared security challenges, while contributing to regional peace, security, and stability.
