Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti appointed Edona Podrimja as Deputy Minister of Health yesterday.
Podrimja is a political figure associated with Kosovo’s Egyptian community. She previously served as Deputy Chair of the Egyptian Liberal Party (PLE) and ran as a parliamentary candidate in the 2025 elections, receiving 913 votes.
In August 2025, she spoke publicly about the challenges facing women in politics, particularly women from the Egyptian community, and the need for greater representation in decision-making.
Prime Minister Kurti congratulated Podrimja on her new appointment and wished her success in carrying out her responsibilities.
