The Basic Court of Pristina has officially sentenced Hysri Selimi to six years in prison after finding him guilty of operating as a long-term espionage asset for the Security Information Agency of Serbia (BIA).

The guilty verdict was delivered on Monday by a judicial panel led by Presiding Judge Leon Përlaska, alongside panel members Medie Bytyqi and Kushtrim Shyti. Selimi, a convicted former ISIS fighter who had previously served prison time in Kosovo for terrorism, was not present in the courtroom when the verdict was read.

The prosecution, led by Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu, successfully argued that Selimi systematically collected and transmitted sensitive data to Belgrade for over 15 years, using targeted intelligence loops to undermine Kosovo’s constitutional order and national security.
