Acting President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, held a meeting with Admiral George M. Wikoff, Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command in Naples.
In a post on her Facebook profile, Haxhiu said that she discussed with Admiral Wikoff the security situation in Kosovo and the region, the cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions and KFOR, as well as the importance of regular coordination with NATO.
“I emphasized that Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic orientation is irreversible and that NATO membership remains our strategic goal,” Haxhiu wrote.

“Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Admiral George M. Wikoff, Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command in Naples.
We discussed the security situation in Kosovo and the region, the cooperation of our institutions with KFOR, and the importance of regular coordination with NATO.
I thanked Admiral Wikoff for his commitment, as well as for KFOR’s service in maintaining security and freedom of movement for all citizens of Kosovo.
I emphasized that Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic orientation is irreversible and that NATO membership remains our strategic goal.
Kosovo will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Alliance and contribute to regional security.”
