Acting President Albulena Haxhiu met with Arian Gashi, Chair of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, to discuss speeding up the process of appointing the Chief State Prosecutor.
In a social media statement, Haxhiu said the meeting also covered achievements and challenges facing the prosecutorial system in Kosovo.
“We discussed justice reforms and the necessity of concluding as soon as possible the process of selecting the Chief State Prosecutor. We also talked about budgetary needs, infrastructure, and the need for more prosecutors and support staff—issues that directly affect institutional efficiency,” she stated.
Haxhiu reaffirmed her commitment to institutional independence and strengthening the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
