How the 20 Reserved Seats for Non-Majority Communities Are Distributed in Kosovo’s Parliament

The Serbian List has won the majority of the ten seats reserved for the Serbian community in the Assembly of Kosovo, according to the results of the 7 June elections.

According to political analyst Blerim Vela, the Serbian List secured nine mandates, while the Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival of acting minister Nenad Rašić won one mandate.

The other ten seats, under Kosovo’s constitutional arrangement, belong to non-Serb minority communities.

The Democratic Turkish Party of Kosovo secured the highest number among them, winning two seats in the new legislature. One seat each was also won by the Vakat Coalition, the Social Democratic Union, the New Democratic Party, the New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo, the Egyptian Liberal Party, the Ashkali Party for Integration, the New Democratic Party of Kosovo Bosniaks, and the Jedinstvena Goranska Party.

Distribution of the 20 reserved minority seats in the Assembly:

  • Serbian List (SL) – 9 seats
  • Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival (zSPO) – 1 seat
  • Democratic Turkish Party of Kosovo – 2 seats
  • Vakat Coalition – 1 seat
  • Social Democratic Union – 1 seat
  • New Democratic Party (NDS) – 1 seat
  • New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo – 1 seat
  • Egyptian Liberal Party – 1 seat
  • Ashkali Party for Integration (PSA) – 1 seat
  • New Democratic Party of Kosovo Bosniaks – 1 seat
  • Jedinstvena Goranska Party – 1 seat

Total: 20 reserved seats for non-majority communities.
