Liberation Day of Kosovo, marked every 12 June and coinciding with the entry of NATO forces into the country, has been commemorated and greeted by various international institutions and representations.

In this context, the Embassy of Italy in Pristina has highlighted its country’s contribution to the KFOR peacekeeping mission, emphasizing that the Italian contingent remains the largest within the mission.

In a social media post, the embassy recalled 12 June 1999 as a historic date marking 27 years of peace and commitment to security and stability in Kosovo and the region.

Italy continues to be one of the key contributing countries within KFOR, the NATO-led mission in Kosovo.
