The Government of Kosovo held its 254th meeting today, during which several important decisions were made.
Among the key points is the establishment of the Organizational Council for the commemoration of June 12th, Kosovo’s Liberation Day.
In addition, Irfan Lipovica was appointed as the Director of the General Directorate of Accreditation within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade. Lipovica, along with Ridvan Muharremi and another official from the Ministry, had been arrested on suspicion of misusing state reserves.

- Establishment of the Organizational Council for the commemoration of June 12th, Kosovo’s Liberation Day, with the following members:
- Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports (Chair);
- Minister of Defense (Member);
- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (Member);
- Minister of Justice (Member);
- Minister of Internal Affairs (Member);
- Minister of Local Government Administration (Member);
- Representative from the Office of the Prime Minister (Member).
- Appointment of Ridvan Hoti as the Deputy Executive Director for Prisoner Training in the Kosovo Correctional Service.
- Appointment of Irfan Lipovica as Director General of the General Directorate of Accreditation. He was ranked as the candidate with the highest score of 89.9 points.
- Approval of the legal analysis to simplify, merge, or eliminate licenses or permits issued by:
- Civil Aviation Authority,
- Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo,
- Energy Regulatory Office,
- Kosovo Railway Authority,
- Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority,
- Water Services Regulatory Authority,
- Independent Media Commission,
- Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals.
- Partial annulment of the final decision No. 06/98 from April 18, 2019, to provide a final solution for the construction of a necessary roundabout in accordance with the new expropriation plan by the Kadaster Directorate of Gjilan.
- Approval of the Annual General Report on Inspections.
- Approval of Guidelines for Joint Inspections, which play a critical role in enhancing legal oversight and promoting compliance with regulatory standards. The main goal is to rationalize resources while ensuring public interest and welfare.
- Amendment and supplementation of Government Decision No. 11/2025 from March 21, 2025, for the appointment of an ad hoc commission to professionally evaluate applicants for senior leadership positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Executive Agencies. With this amendment, the chairperson of this commission, Afërdita Bekaj, is replaced by Lumnije Demi.
