The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) War Veterans Association (OVL-UÇK) has condemned what it describes as the ongoing campaign by Serbian institutions and affiliated circles to criminalize former KLA fighters.
The organization rejected the allegations against members of the 111th and 121st Brigades, as well as other KLA units, describing them as politically motivated persecution driven by hostility toward the KLA.
According to the association, Serbia is pursuing “an old policy dressed in legal attire” with the aim of equating the aggressor with the victim and discrediting the KLA’s war.
“Serbia has no moral authority to lecture anyone about war crimes while continuing to evade responsibility for the crimes committed by its own military, police, and paramilitary forces. The lists compiled in Belgrade cannot rewrite history, erase the graves, or overturn the truth of a people who were forced to defend their very existence,” the statement reads.

The organization also urged former KLA members to avoid traveling through Serbian territory, arguing that the continued calls for their arrest demonstrate that Serbia has maintained the same political approach toward the Kosovo war.
