Only ten days remain until one of the most significant moments in the judicial proceedings before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

On September 16 at 10:00 a.m., the judgment is expected to be announced in the case against former Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi.

Following a trial that has lasted several years, the Trial Panel is expected to deliver its verdict on the four former UÇK leaders.

The trial against them began in 2023, and over the course of the proceedings, a large body of evidence and testimony has been examined. Due to the complexity of the case and the extensive material presented during the trial, the delivery of the judgment was postponed from the initially scheduled date.

Meanwhile, in Kosovo, the countdown to the announcement of the verdict has begun. The initiative titled “The Hour of Waiting” has become a symbol of anticipation for the judgment concerning the former UÇK leaders.

As part of activities in support of them, a solidarity march has also been announced in Prishtina for September 12. Political figures and well-known public personalities have already called for participation.

The coming days are therefore expected to be marked by heightened attention across Kosovo, leading up to September 16, when the judgment against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi, and Krasniqi is expected to be read in The Hague.
