During the 34th edition of the Spring Conference 2026 held in Antalya, Türkiye, the Information and Privacy Agency represented the Republic of Kosovo through a delegation led by the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku.
Kosovo has been officially selected to host the next edition of the conference, known as the Spring Conference 2027.
The Spring Conference is considered one of the most important international platforms in the field of personal data protection and privacy, bringing together supervisory authorities, commissioners, experts, and high-level institutional representatives from across Europe and beyond.
Kosovo’s selection as host country for 2027 is viewed as a strong recognition of the active role of the Information and Privacy Agency in protecting personal data in line with international standards of governance and decision-making in data protection.
The decision follows the successful organization of the European Case Handling Workshop on Personal Data Protection (ECHW 2025), held in Kosovo in November last year, which demonstrated the institution’s capacity to host high-level European events.
In terms of international representation, the Information and Privacy Agency has also been engaged since 2024 as an observer member in the European Data Protection Board (European Data Protection Board), strengthening cooperation with international data protection authorities at the European level.
