The defense lawyer for Jakup Krasniqi has announced that the defense will appeal the verdict handed down by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, describing the decision as disappointing.
She said the defense’s goal remains Krasniqi’s acquittal and stressed that the legal process is not yet over.
“We will appeal for Jakup Krasniqi. The outcome we seek is the acquittal of Jakup Krasniqi. We are still in the process, and you will hear from us. As I said, the judgment is disappointing, and we will appeal it,” the lawyer said.
She also said that she had not yet spoken with Krasniqi following the announcement of the verdict, adding that she plans to speak with him tomorrow.
