The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) has elected Kreshnik Kaçiu as President of the Administrative Court of Kosovo during its 372nd meeting on Thursday.
Ten KJC members took part in the vote, with nine voting in favor and one against, according to Betimi për Drejtësi.
Kaçiu will serve a five-year term as head of the Administrative Court.
The KJC’s agenda also included reports from the presidents of Kosovo’s courts covering the period from April to June 2026.
The commission responsible for evaluating the candidates was chaired by Afërdita Bytyqi, with Bashkim Hyseni and Fahret Vellija as members and Ivana Milenkoviq as a reserve member.
The selection process was conducted in accordance with the Law on the Administrative Court and Regulation No. 12/2022 on the procedure for the election, appointment, suspension and dismissal of court presidents and supervising judges.
The Administrative Court, headquartered in Prishtina, was officially opened on May 5, 2026.
