Ground Forces Command deploys combined infantry, specialized military police, and logistics units to test operational combat readiness under strict professional validation standards.
As part of its multi-year transition plan to upgrade defense capabilities, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has launched a large-scale joint validation exercise codenamed “Invincible Wolf 01” (Ujku i Pamposhtur 01).
The field drills are taking place across strategically vital training zones in western Kosovo, specifically utilizing the open infrastructure of the Gjakova Airport and the rugged tactical terrain of Babaj i Bokës.
The Combined Force Structure
The exercise serves as a formal evaluation grounds for the KSF Land Forces Command. Rather than testing isolated elements, “Invincible Wolf 01” brings together a diverse cross-section of specialized military components to measure their collective battlefield synchronization.

Core Objectives of the Validation Drill
According to KSF officials, the exercise moves beyond basic training into the strict realm of institutional validation. The primary pillars of the operation include:
- Operational Validation: Formally certifying that the tested platoons can execute complex combat orders under unpredictable field conditions.
- Combat Readiness Injection: Increasing the deployment speed and tactical response times of support and frontline units.
- Inter-Unit Coordination: Testing communication networks and command-and-control synchronization between specialized military police, supply lines, and reconnaissance units.
Strategic Training Grounds
The selection of the training areas highlights the KSF’s evolving tactical focus. Gjakova Airport offers wide, exposed infrastructure ideal for simulated asset protection, medical evacuations, and perimeter defense scenarios.
Concurrently, the nearby Babaj i Bokës training range provides the demanding, high-elevation terrain necessary to test the physical endurance of logistics teams and the stealth capabilities of the specialized ISR platoon.
The completion of “Invincible Wolf 01” marks another benchmark for the KSF as it builds toward full territorial defense compatibility alongside its Western partners.
