Prime ministerial candidate Albin Kurti, during the extraordinary session for the election of the new government, presented the first five decisions he intends to take if he receives the confidence of the deputies for the third time.
He emphasized that these decisions would be implemented during the first week of the new government, if elected.
“Upon receiving your confidence, esteemed deputies, the first five decisions we will take as a government, in the first week, will be:
- Approval of the 2026 Budget Draft Law.
- Decision to set the minimum pension at €150, affecting around 200,000 pensioners.
- Decision to increase child allowances by 50% over the current level, affecting around 400,000 children.
- Decision to raise the minimum wage to €500, impacting a large portion of workers in the private sector.
- Approval of the amendment to the employment law allowing the removal of restrictions on private-sector employment for KLA veterans,” he stated.
