Prime ministerial candidate Albin Kurti stated that no coalition had been reached for the formation of the new government.

Speaking at the podium in the Kosovo Assembly during the extraordinary session for the government’s formation, Kurti also noted that if their offer of cooperation had been accepted, the country would already have a new government today.

According to him, the new government is being proposed as an act of service to the country and not as “a product of coalition politics.”

“Without the approval of the new government, the Republic risks heading to new elections with some non-functional institutions,” he said.

“There will be a government, but it will be in a caretaker capacity. Deputies will find it impossible to supervise a caretaker government because they do not have a mandate for this,” he added.
