Large-scale protests continued in Tirana today, marking the 12th consecutive day of demonstrations demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to organizers and participants, yesterday’s march along the city boulevard drew hundreds of thousands of citizens, in one of the largest public gatherings in recent years. The figures have not been independently verified by official authorities.
The protests have been carried out under slogans such as “Albania is not for sale,” with demonstrators accusing the government of corruption and mismanagement and calling for Rama’s immediate resignation.
The latest rally is scheduled to begin again today at 18:00, continuing the pattern of daily mobilizations that have now extended into a second week.
Participants say the movement reflects growing public frustration and will continue until their demands are addressed. Meanwhile, government officials have not issued an official response regarding the most recent demonstration.
The ongoing protests highlight increasing political tension in Albania, as opposition voices and citizens escalate pressure on the government amid broader debates over governance, transparency, and accountability.
