The Parliamentary Committee on Economy has approved in principle the Draft Law on Energy with five votes in favor. According to the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the law aims to strengthen consumer protection and align the energy sector with European Union standards.
The discussion on the draft law was accompanied by criticism from opposition MPs, who raised concerns about the centralization of powers and the potential weakening of the regulator’s role.
