A protest organized by the Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-KLA) has begun in Skënderbeu Square in Prishtina.
A large number of citizens have gathered in the square to oppose the verdict issued by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former KLA leaders.
Among the protesters are MPs and members of opposition political parties who have joined the gathering.
The protest follows the verdict of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, under which Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi were each sentenced to 25 years in prison, Kadri Veseli to 18 years, and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years.
All four former KLA leaders were found guilty of several war-crimes charges, while they were acquitted of the charges of crimes against humanity.
