Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed the viral moment from last month at the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen, where he jokingly commented with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and French President Emmanuel Macron about former U.S. President Donald Trump’s frequent mix-ups regarding Albania and Armenia.

“This is another example of how badly the Democrats in the United States are positioned, because this was a very friendly joke with Ilham, as we have been close friends for a long time, and it was really good to see each other after so many ‘losses and attempts to kill each other,’” Rama said.

“However, the fact that this friendly joke went viral in Europe is amusing, but that in the U.S. it was used to attack the President really upset me. The Democrats have lost touch with reality and continue to believe that moral superiority alone is enough,” Rama added, according to A2 CNN.
