During the ongoing tributes being held today in Klinë for the eight war victims who were part of the list of missing persons, Andin Hoti, the head of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, is participating in the ceremony.

During his speech, Hoti appeared visibly emotional and was seen wiping away tears as he spoke, as reported by Klankosova.

“I will try to find the words to speak, because the pain is immense,” he began.

Hoti emphasized that all those participating in the tributes, as well as others, bow in respect to the martyrs who disappeared without reason, only for seeking freedom, as Klankosova.tv reports.

“April 4th is a wound that has never healed; it is the day when memory calls us to never forget, when we say we cannot have peace without justice and the truth,” he said.

“Today, after two decades, free Kosovo honors the martyrs of freedom and truth with state honors. They are not only victims but also witnesses to genocide,” Hoti added.

Furthermore, Hoti stated that these individuals are now having their names and dignity restored, taking their rightful place in the painful history of Kosovo.

“They have returned to where they belong, to the embrace of their families and the soil of Kosovo,” he said.
