Powerful explosions, reportedly caused by Russian ballistic missile launches, have rocked the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia.
In Zaporizhzhia, a city that is also home to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the attack has killed at least five people and injured 20 others, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration.
Ukraine’s Air Force confirmed that Russian missiles also struck targets in Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
According to preliminary reports, at least 10 people have been injured in the latest attacks.
The strikes come amid growing concerns over the continued Russian bombardment of Ukrainian cities and the mounting civilian toll of the war.
