A Serbian national has been arrested at the Vërmicë border crossing after allegedly offering money to border officials during the inspection of his truck and travel documents.
According to the Kosovo Police report, the incident occurred on July 20, 2026, at approximately 10:10 p.m. The suspect was arrested and, by order of the prosecutor, was placed in pre-trial detention.
The police statement reads:
Vërmicë Border Police Station – July 20, 2026, 22:10: A male Serbian suspect was arrested after allegedly offering money to border officials during the inspection of his truck and documentation. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect has been placed in detention.
The case is currently being handled by the competent authorities.
