The Serbian organization Severna Brigada has issued a threat of physical elimination against Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
In a message published by the group, it is stated: “As dawn rises over Kosovo, Albin Kurti will be dead.”
“Severna Brigada” has been previously mentioned in connection with incidents and extremist threats in northern Kosovo, and the latest message is seen as an escalation of threatening rhetoric against Kosovo’s institutions.
So far, there has been no official reaction from security institutions regarding the message.
In June 2023, the Government of Kosovo officially designated “Severna Brigada” as a terrorist organization, alongside “Civilna Zaštita” (Civil Protection).
At the time, Prime Minister Kurti stated that these groups represent a “serious and direct threat to the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.”
