Agim Musliu, a security expert and the director of the Octopus Institute, has stated that disinformation has targeted him personally and the Octopus Institute on two separate occasions.

According to him, these disinformation campaigns originate from official Belgrade and their intelligence services.

Musliu wrote on the social network Facebook that “Albanian postmen” have attempted to bring to the Octopus Institute, for the purpose of publishing, so-called compromising documents about important figures of our country.

“The documents were in Serbian and written with bias, clearly showing the intention to harm Kosovo. Naturally, we at the OCTOPUS Institute are aware of both the goal and the method of operation of the Serbs from Belgrade, and we cannot fall prey to these deceptions. However, we are concerned because we have information that the ‘Albanian postmen’ from Belgrade are trying to distribute such materials to other addresses, including the media and some organizations,” Musliu wrote.

Furthermore, he informed that the OCTOPUS Institute will strive, in the first place, to contribute to security and to maintain professional integrity.

“We will take care of the so-called ‘Freedom of expression’, through which propaganda ammunition is often spread,” Musliu concluded.
