The White House has confirmed that a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently taking place.
So far, no details have been shared regarding the conversation.
Meanwhile, as they speak, Russia and Ukraine are exchanging prisoners, reports BBC, as relayed by Sinjali.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russia and Ukraine had exchanged 175 prisoners of war each.
Ukrainian President Zelensky confirmed the exchange, calling it “one of the largest” exchanges ever held.
He added that, in addition to the 175 prisoners released by Russia, 22 other soldiers who were “severely wounded” were also freed.
“All of them will immediately receive the necessary medical and psychological assistance,” Zelensky said.
