Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that while he believes Serbia has a chance to join the EU before 2030, the issue of Kosovo remains the main obstacle to membership.

“I cannot and will not recognize Kosovo’s independence,” Vučić said in an interview with Serbia’s public radio and television, reported by A2 CNN.

He expressed optimism about the position of Serbs in northern Kosovo over the next 5–10 years following local elections and praised the Serb List’s election results, calling them nearly impossible given that, according to him, foreign actors—especially from the West—worked against them.

Vučić also claimed that Serbia faces a serious hybrid war, but assured that he has done everything as president to maintain peace and stability.
