The Kosovo Force has announced that its soldiers have carried out patrols across the country, aimed at maintaining situational awareness and contributing to stability throughout the region.
According to KFOR, these patrols reflect the mission’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo.
Multinational Patrols in the Field
Multinational soldiers from Regional Command West (RC-W) of the KFOR mission continue to conduct both motorized and foot patrols within the command’s area of responsibility.
Through these regular patrols, KFOR personnel maintain constant awareness of the security situation while helping to strengthen overall stability in the region.
Mandate and Coordination
KFOR emphasized that it continues to implement its mandate based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, which authorizes the mission to help ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo.
The NATO-led mission also highlighted its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, each operating within their respective roles in maintaining security.
KFOR stated that it will continue carrying out its duties impartially and at all times, in line with its mandate.
