Jeton Koca, the State Prosecutor of Kosovo, has formally submitted his resignation, which was approved by a five-member majority during a session of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC).
Arian Gashi, Chair of the KPC, confirmed that Koca’s resignation will now be forwarded to the Presidency for formal approval.
According to Gashi, the resignation notice was received on 13 February 2026 from Koca, who currently serves at the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prishtina. Koca cited personal reasons for stepping down and did not disclose further details in the submitted documentation.
The resignation of the State Prosecutor marks a significant transition in Kosovo’s judicial leadership, with the presidency set to finalize the process following the council’s approval.
