Vjosa Osmani received the European Union’s ambassador in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, in a farewell meeting as his diplomatic mission in the country comes to an end.
According to a statement published by the European Union Office in Kosovo on Facebook, Orav thanked President Osmani for the cooperation during his tenure and emphasized the European Union’s continued commitment to Kosovo.
During the meeting, Orav underlined that the EU remains Kosovo’s strongest and most reliable partner as the country continues its path toward European integration.
“In a farewell meeting today, Aivo Orav thanked the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani for the cooperation during his mandate as EU Ambassador in Kosovo, emphasizing that the EU remains Kosovo’s strongest and most reliable partner as the country advances toward the European Union,” the statement said.
Orav assumed his role as head of the EU Office in Kosovo on 2 September 2024, succeeding Tomáš Szunyog, who had served in the position since 2020.
