Tensions in the Middle East have escalated further as Hezbollah and the Israeli military exchanged attacks across the Israel–Lebanon border region.

Hezbollah said it carried out an attack using drones targeting Israeli soldiers in the town of Shlomi in northern Israel. Following the incident, Israeli authorities issued an air raid alert in the area.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced an expansion of military operations in southern Lebanon, intensifying ongoing cross-border hostilities.

The IDF also reported that a recent strike in Bint Jbeil killed around 100 Hezbollah fighters. According to the Israeli military, large quantities of weapons were discovered in the area following the operation.

The renewed exchange of fire comes amid broader regional tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, with concerns growing over a wider escalation across the Middle East.
