Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has welcomed the ruling of the Basic Court of Pristina in the “Banjska” case, while stressing that full justice will only be achieved when the main suspect is brought before Kosovo’s authorities.
During a plenary session, lawmakers stood in respect following the court’s decision to impose life imprisonment sentences related to the attack in Banjska. Haxhiu praised the ruling and the institutions involved in delivering the verdict.
“I would like to welcome the decision of the Basic Court for life imprisonment over the terrorist attack in Banjska,” she said, commending Kosovo’s institutions for their role in the process.
However, Haxhiu emphasized that justice remains incomplete without the surrender of Milan Radoičić, whom she described as the main perpetrator.
“Justice for the terrorist attack does not end here; it is completed when the main terrorist, Milan Radoičić, surrenders to the Republic of Kosovo together with the other perpetrators,” she stated.
She also paid tribute to Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed during the incident, honoring his service and sacrifice.
The ruling marks a significant development in one of Kosovo’s most serious recent security cases, though political and legal tensions surrounding accountability remain ongoing.
