Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken responsibility for the killing of a senior Hezbollah commander in Beirut, declaring that “no terrorist is immune” from Israeli operations.

In a video released by his office, Netanyahu said Israel had eliminated the commander of the Radwan Force, an elite Hezbollah unit, during an operation carried out in the Lebanese capital, according to Euronews Albania.

“Anyone who threatens the State of Israel will die as a result of his actions,” he stated, warning Israel’s adversaries of continued strikes against targets considered a security threat.

Netanyahu’s statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region and escalating clashes between Israel and Hezbollah along the Lebanese border.
