U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that an agreement aimed at ending the conflict with Iran is “largely negotiated,” with details expected to be announced very soon.

In a post published on the Truth Social platform, Trump revealed that the potential agreement also includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategic oil shipping routes.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that the Strait of Hormuz could return to its pre-war status within 30 days. According to the reports, the potential deal would also lead to a cessation of attacks on all fronts.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei told Iranian state television that positions between Washington and Tehran have moved closer over the past week. However, he emphasized that no agreement has yet been reached on key issues.

“The convergence of positions does not mean that an agreement has been achieved on the main topics,” Baghaei said, accusing the U.S. side of making “contradictory statements.”

Trump also announced that he held a “very good phone call” with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and other countries regarding a memorandum of understanding for peace in the region.

“A deal is largely negotiated, and only the finalization between the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the other involved countries remains,” Trump declared.
