British Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargreaves said that European security remains at the heart of the deep friendship between the United Kingdom and Kosovo, following meetings with Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari and Acting Minister of Defence Ejup Maqedonci.
Hargreaves described the meetings as “good discussions” held together with the UK Defence Attaché and Defence Adviser, focusing on security developments and strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
The ambassador stated that the discussions reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting the continued development of the Kosovo Security Force, including its alignment with NATO standards and structures and the further strengthening of cooperation with the British Armed Forces.
“Our cooperation is helping to build a safer future for Kosovo and the wider region,” Hargreaves said.
The United Kingdom remains one of Kosovo’s key international partners in the defence and security sector, providing support through training, expertise, and cooperation aimed at enhancing the KSF’s capabilities and interoperability with NATO partners.
