European and international leaders and politicians were horrified by Snežana Paunović’s statement.

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government said that, if she had been in Slobodan Milošević’s position in 1998, she would have ethnically cleansed Kosovo.

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said: “I can’t imagine that a Minister could continue to do her work based on this public statement.”

This would be true in a normal and democratic society. After such a statement, Snežana Paunović would not only be dismissed, but would also face justice.

However, this does not happen in Aleksandar Vučić’s Serbia. He defends Snežana after her expressed desire for genocide, while Milan Radoičić is reportedly guarded by special units, despite being subject to an Interpol Red Notice after attacking northern Kosovo with weapons from the Serbian military in September 2023.

This is no coincidence, nor are Snežana and Milan Radoičić isolated cases in Serbia.

Slobodan Milošević, known as the Butcher of the Balkans, who died while facing justice for genocide and crimes against humanity, and his fascist ideas continue to be supported and promoted by Serbia’s main leaders, led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić himself.

Aleksandar Vučić — 2018 – President of Serbia, former Minister of Information under Slobodan Milošević

During his visit to Kosovo, in North Mitrovica in 2018, Vučić publicly praised Slobodan Milošević, calling him a great Serbian leader:

“Milosevic was a great Serbian leader who undoubtedly had the best intentions, but the outcome was very poor. Not because he wanted it that way, but because our wishes were unrealistic, while we neglected and underestimated the interests and aspirations of other nations. Because of that, we paid a greater price. We haven’t expanded.”

Ivica Dačić — 2020 – Minister of Internal Affairs, former spokesman for Milošević’s party

While the fate of thousands of Albanian civilians who were killed or forcibly disappeared by Slobodan Milošević’s regime remains unknown, and some of them were found in mass graves after their bodies had even been transported to Serbia in order to conceal them, Serbia’s current Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dačić, threatened Serbs who provide information about the locations of mass graves and the remains of Albanians during an appearance on the Serbian programme Ćirilica.

“What do we do with some Serbs who tell Croats and Albanians where their missing conationals are buried across Serbia, and similar stupidities?” Dačić said.

Aleksandar Vulin — 2020 – “The Man of Moscow”

Known as the “Man of Moscow” because of his statements supporting Russia and opposing the West, Vulin has held important positions including Director of Serbia’s Security Intelligence Agency, BIA, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Minister of Defence, and others.

Almost every year, Vulin publicly visits the grave of the criminal Slobodan Milošević and bows before it.

He has also publicly admitted that he works toward the ideas held by Slobodan Milošević for the creation of the “Serbian World”, which led to genocides in the Balkans, ethnic cleansing and the mass killing of civilians.

“Yes, we should create the ‘Serbian world,’ in the sense that Serbs must become a single political nation.”

Ana Brnabić — 2019 – President of the National Assembly of Serbia

While Brnabić was Prime Minister of Serbia, she referred to Kosovo Albanians in racist terms as people who “literally came out of the woods.”
