Kosovo’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, has condemned attacks and threats by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including actions targeting maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
Konjufca said the attacks pose a threat to freedom of navigation and regional security, describing them as unacceptable and calling for a strong international response.
“I strongly condemn the attacks and threats by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including attacks aimed at obstructing maritime navigation in the Red Sea. Such actions endanger freedom of navigation and regional security. They are unacceptable and must be firmly rejected,” Konjufca wrote on X.
The Kosovo foreign minister also expressed solidarity with his Saudi counterpart, Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, and reaffirmed Kosovo’s support for efforts aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability in Yemen and the wider region.
The statement comes amid growing tensions in the Red Sea, where Houthi attacks on maritime routes have raised international concerns over global trade, energy supplies, and security in one of the world’s most important shipping corridors.
