A delegation from the Albanian-American organization Albanians for America (AFA) met with Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to discuss Kosovo–United States relations, strategic cooperation, and future economic and energy initiatives.
The delegation, consisting of Gino Mulliqi, Gëzim Rushiti, and Janinë Memeti, held talks with Kurti focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing projects of strategic importance for Kosovo.
According to a statement issued following the meeting, particular attention was given to the potential development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project involving U.S. natural gas, which was presented as an opportunity to enhance Kosovo’s energy security and diversify its energy sources.
The AFA delegation also discussed broader opportunities for strategic economic and energy investments, emphasizing that the LNG initiative could contribute to long-term economic growth, attract new investments, and reduce Kosovo’s dependence on limited energy sources.
The discussions highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation between Kosovo and the United States in areas of energy, investment, and economic development, while reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
