At least six people have been killed and 29 others injured in a series of drone attacks exchanged between Ukraine and Russia, according to authorities on both sides.
A Ukrainian drone attack on the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk killed at least four people, including a child, and injured 29 others, Russian authorities said.
Meanwhile, Russian drones struck a border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova, killing two people, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Russia also claimed that its air defenses had shot down nearly 600 Ukrainian drones overnight, highlighting the scale of the latest wave of attacks.
The escalation comes amid continued intensification of drone warfare between the two countries, with both sides increasingly targeting infrastructure and locations far from the immediate front lines.
The latest attacks underscore the growing role of long-range drones in the conflict, as Ukraine and Russia seek to inflict damage on military, logistical and strategic targets while placing pressure on the other side’s air-defense capabilities.
