Following France and the United States, the United Kingdom has also warned its citizens in Kosovo to exercise caution and avoid large crowds ahead of the expected verdict in The Hague against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
In its travel advice, the British government said that large gatherings are expected in Pristina and other urban centers this week, including on September 16, the day the verdict against the former KLA leaders is expected to be announced.
According to the advisory, the gatherings could cause disruptions, including difficulties with traffic and public transportation.
British citizens in Kosovo have been urged to follow local developments, allow extra time for travel, and stay away from large crowds and demonstrations.
“During the coming week, including September 12 and 16, there will be large gatherings in Pristina and other urban centers. This may cause disruption, including traffic and public transport disruptions. Keep up to date with local developments, allow extra time for travel, and stay away from large crowds or demonstrations,” the British travel advisory states.
