Members of the Albanian diaspora are expected to gather today, Sunday, September 27, in several European cities as part of protests in support of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and against the decision of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
The protests are being organized under the slogan “Not in My Name,” with calls for participation directed at Albanians living in the diaspora.
Rallies have been announced in London, Oslo, Graz, Geneva, Treviso, Karlsruhe, Lindau, Nuremberg and Skopje.
In London, the protest is scheduled to take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Richmond Terrace. In Oslo, the gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Eidsvolls Plass.
In Graz, the protest is scheduled to take place at Hauptplatz, beginning at 12:00 p.m., while in Geneva it will be held at Place des Nations from 2:00 p.m.
Gatherings have also been announced in Treviso, at Piazza delle Istituzioni, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., as well as in Karlsruhe, at Marktplatz, starting at 3:00 p.m.
In Lindau, the protest will be held at the Altes Rathaus on Bismarckplatz, beginning at 3:00 p.m., while in Nuremberg, organizers have announced that the protest will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Kornmarkt.
Another gathering will also be held in Skopje, at Skanderbeg Square, starting at 2:00 p.m.
Further protests have been announced for the coming days. The organization “Liria ka Emër” has announced a rally in Pristina on October 1.
