Dushan Maksimović, Nemanja Jolović and Sërgjan Vučinić pleaded not guilty today at the Basic Court in Prishtina in the case concerning the barricades erected in northern Kosovo in December 2022, Gazeta Sinjali reported.
The three defendants denied the charges brought against them by the Special Prosecution Office. The case is being handled by the Special Department of the court, with Judge Rrahman Beqiri presiding.
The prosecution alleges that between December 10 and 29, 2022, the defendants participated in blocking roads in northern Kosovo, preventing Kosovo institutions from exercising state authority and carrying out their official duties.
According to the indictment, trucks loaded with gravel, excavators, buses and other vehicles were used to block the roads. The prosecution also alleges that the group had prepared improvised fighting positions and was prepared to attack police if officers intervened to remove the barricades. These remain allegations by the prosecution and have not been established by a court.
The indictment, filed on June 10, 2026, initially included six defendants: Dushan Maksimović, Miloš Radosavljević, Nemanja Jolović, Dushan Drobaci, Sërgjan Vuçinić and Nenad Orlović. The case involves charges related to joining for unconstitutional activity with the alleged aim of attacking the constitutional order, as well as obstructing an official in the performance of official duties.
Proceedings against Radosavljević and Drobaci were separated on August 31 after they reached plea agreements with the prosecution. Meanwhile, the September 17 hearing was postponed due to the absence of two defense lawyers, who were each fined €500.
