The Kosovo Assembly has approved the Law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets following its second reading.
A total of 66 MPs voted in favor of the legislation.
The law aims to establish mechanisms for verifying assets that cannot be justified by their owners’ lawful income and to regulate procedures for their confiscation in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
The legislation is intended to strengthen institutional mechanisms for addressing unexplained wealth and ensuring that asset verification and confiscation procedures are carried out within the legal framework.
