Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has published photographs of emblems discovered during raids conducted on November 29 in Zubin Potok, linking them to Russian and Serbian intelligence, military, and security structures. Kurti asserts that these findings are proof of the involvement of extremist and terrorist groups with strong ties to Serbia, aiming to destabilize Kosovo and the region.

Following the raids in northern Kosovo related to the kinetic terrorist attack on the Ibar Lepenc Canal on November 29, 2024, weapons, uniforms, and various equipment were confiscated. Additionally, Russian and Serbian emblems were found, further linking these groups to destabilizing activities. Kurti emphasized that the discovery highlights the potential involvement of Russian-Serbian extremist groups working to create insecurity in Kosovo and the wider Balkan region.

“After the raids in northern Kosovo, related to the terrorist kinetic attack on the Ibar Lepenc Canal on November 29, 2024, weapons, uniforms, and other equipment were seized, as well as Russian and Serbian emblems belonging to intelligence, military, and security structures. This concerning discovery proves the involvement of extremist and terrorist groups with strong ties to Serbia, whose goal is to destabilize Kosovo and create an insecure environment in the region,” Kurti said.

He concluded by stressing that stability and peace in the Balkans require a unified and decisive response to terrorist attacks and activities threatening regional security.

“Stability and peace in the Balkans demand a unified and decisive response to these terrorist actions and destabilizing activities that jeopardize regional security and democratic values,” Kurti added.
